This nationwide mortgage industry leader has an immediate 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity for an IT Business Systems Analyst with Mortgage industry experience.  Will be working remotely from home until January 2021 and then will be required to work in the Irving, TX office.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate input from multiple channels to solidify detailed feature requirements through user stories, Use cases and/or functional specifications.
• Convert large user stories into smaller, detailed user stories that developers, user experience, and quality assurance resources can digest.
• Coordinate with development and QA to deliver enhancements and bug fixes.
• Work with internal customers to understand issues and enhancement requests.
• Assists with development and testing phases of projects as needed.
• Follow up on outstanding issues to meet Sprint timelines.
• Negotiates project plans, time frames and trade-offs with Business Partners understanding the impacts to project
• Ensure that no defective products are moved to end user testing or production environments without stakeholder approval.
• Assist in post-implementation issue review and continuous improvement efforts to enhance system performance.
• Maintain up to date knowledge regarding mortgage industry and technology trends.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 or more years of mortgage banking experience, preferably within compliance, operations management, underwriting, or loan origination system administration.
• 5+ or more years as a software business analyst.
• Understanding of workflows.  
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product management, legal, development, quality assurance, support, marketing and sales.
• Experience developing and detailing software product requirements.
• Excellent understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Strong Technical Background with an understanding of Data entity relationships is a plus.
• Strong to Moderate skill in writing SQL queries.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or an engineering discipline required. 
• Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass product is a plus
• Experience with IBM BPM for Workflows is a plus.
• Experience with IBM ODM for Rules Engine is a plus.
• Prefer experience with Microsoft VSTS, Visio, MS Office.
